Track of the Day #119: M^tch – Turtle Promise

Posted by Neil Wilson

M^tch - Turtle Promise
If you are of the same certain gaming vintage as me you might recall the PlayStation game Music 2000.  It was a pretty bog standard (by today’s comparison’s at least) music creation and editing program that I used to spend hours on creating all sorts of weird and wonderful beats on all of which were sadly lost when I sold my PlayStation many years ago – The music world mourns, I know.

My point being is that this new track from producer M^tch, called Turtle Promise, reminds me of the joy of just making music for the sheer fun of it.  Turtle Promise samples a Snapchat video for the vocals, whilst M^tch creates a wonderfully fun audio world to explore with your ears, featuring ’80’s style power drums, cute little bubble effects, and some killer drops.  Nod your head and smile.
